Cops called at Calabasas home due to battery report

L.A. County Sheriff's Deputies went to the Jackson family home in Calabasas and took a battery report after family members reported a disturbance.

Steve Whitmore tells TMZ, Lost Hills deputies from the Sheriff's Dept. showed up this afternoon at the compound and someone inside accused someone else present of a physical assault.

Deputies took a report but no arrests were made.

Whitmore tell TMZ Lost Hills Sheriff's deputies have been on the Jackson case since April, when a business associate of the Jackson family alleged that Katherine Jackson was being emotionally and financially mistreated by family members.

At the time, deputies interviewed Katherine who denied she was being mistreated, but we're told the Sheriffs are still on the case and are interviewing other family members to determine if there is possible financial abuse.

TMZ has obtained a photo of Janet Jackson and Jermaine Jackson in a heated exchange at the Jackson family home -- shortly after Sheriff's deputies responded to an alleged battery there Monday afternoon.

In the pic, Janet and her brother Jermaine are in front of the Calabasas compound, clearly engaged in a heavy conversation.

TMZ was told the photo was taken within the same hour LA County Sheriff's deputies went to Katherine Jackson's home after one family member accused another of a physical assault.

The Sheriff's Dept. isn't saying if Jermaine and Janet were the ones involved in that dispute.

Janet and Jermaine have a lot to discuss -- the letter they and 3 other siblings signed, demanding the Executors of Michael Jackson's Estate step down and Katherine Jackson's puzzling trip to Arizona, a trip some claim is a brainwashing mission.
