Michael Jackson Estate was unaware of the concert planned by family
The Estate of Michael Jackson was not aware of a planned concert for Michael until on Monday, when Katherine, Marlon, Tito, La Toya and Jackie gave an announcement in a press conference regarding the show called "Michael Forever: The Tribute Concert", which is to be held in Cardiff (Wales) on October 8 and is promoted by the British company Global Live Events (which directed a music video for La Toya in 2009).
The concert takes place in the same period of Murray's trial and at the moment seems not meet the approval of Michael's two brothers, Randy and Jermaine, as they said, "We feel it is inappropriate to be involved with such an ill-timed event", adding, “There will come a time and place for an amazing and deserving tribute to Michael."
The concert has been organized without the authorization by the Estate to use Michael's name.
The Michael Jackson Estate has therefore made a statement through its spokesman Jim Bates, who told CNN, "Executors for Michael Jackson's Estate were unaware of the planned concert. The Estate has not been contacted and is not involved with Global Live Events in the UK tribute concert announced today."
No doubt Michael would be horrified by this enterprise, that coincides with a moment in wich attention of his family should be devoted more than ever to seek justice for Michael Jackson, so as the whole world is demanding for a long time.
Moreover, nothing should be done without the Estate involving, who is doing an excellent job to carry forward Michael Jackson's inestimable legacy and preserve his Estate, all in the respecting of Michael's wishes.
